The 2012 National Charity Tournament

Welcome to Charity Pool Exhibition's 2012 project - the 2012 National Charity Tournament, a unique tournament designed to generate much-needed funds for charity through the actions of pool players all over the UK, and in doing so, creating the biggest prize fund the UK has ever seen - some £30,000+!

The idea is to encourage all pool players to do their bit for charity and raise £100. In doing so, they will be eligible to enter a number of qualifiers which will be held in various venues across the UK during September 2012 in an attempt to make the Grand Finals which will be held at the Best Western Hotel in Stoke on Trent from 23rd to 25th November 2012. However, it does't have to stop there as we have many wonderful Incentives to encourage more to be raised.

What's even better is that the tournament is designed to reward the ordinary player and not the professionals. The professionals will not be allowed in a qualifier and will have to raise £500 to go straight to the Grand Finals, and even then they will be placed in a bracket within one quarter of the draw all together to ensure at least three amateurs reach the semi finals.

As well as a first prize of £4,060 to the winner from a tournament prize fund of £20,300, we have also created prizes for those not so good with a first prize of £2,030 going to the Ultimate Loser - officially the tournament's worst player! If you can be the best of the best, then why can't we have the worst of the worst? It's all in the name of fun and charity!

Op top of that, we have the Golden Tickets with a first prize of £2,538 which is open to everyone who raises funds. For each £1 they raise, a Golden Ticket is given to them.

And lastly, we realise how hard it can be to fundraise, especially in the current climate, so to help you to sell tickets and achieve your target of £100, we created a Raffle Competition with over £10,000 worth of prizes consisting of a first prize of £5,000 cash plus two runner up prizes for a family of four to the five star holiday resort of Kololi in The Gambia for a week, including flights worth over £2,500.

We hope that you will join us in making this the best tournament the UK has ever seen!
